Jammu: Defense Minister Rajnath Singh inaugurated 90 infrastructure projects, praised the work of BRO

Defense Minister Rajnath Singh on Tuesday praised the service of the Border Roads Organization (BRO) and said that completing any project on time has been possible due to the commitment of the organization.

Defense Minister Rajnath Singh said that your real achievement is that your efforts made even the difficult easy. The citizens of the country have stopped taking the development of the border area as an achievement, but it has become normal for them.

Rajnath Singh inaugurated and dedicated to the nation 90 infrastructure projects constructed by the Border Roads Organization (BRO). During this, he said that starting an ambitious project and completing it on time is a normal thing for the new India. He further said that BRO should not only connect places but also the hearts of people with the help of roads.

“Your job is not just to connect one place to another by building roads, but you also have to connect the hearts of people with your actions. I believe that construction should be such that it is inspired by the spirit of the people, for the people, and by the people.

Rajnath Singh further said that BRO as an organization will have to continuously work with the local bodies and people in any project going on in the border areas. “You involve them in your project, keep talking to them, understand their needs, and also get their input. If you do this, their confidence will increase and your work will also become easier.

The Union Minister called for working with the mantra of minimum environmental degradation, maximum national security, and maximum welfare. Till now we have worked with the mantra of minimum investment and maximum value, but now we need to go further. Now we need to move forward with the mantra of minimum environmental degradation, maximum national security, and maximum welfare.

Rajnath Singh reached Jammu today during the day and was welcomed by Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha at the airport. He will dedicate to the nation 90 infrastructure projects built by the Border Roads Organization (BRO) at a cost of Rs 2941 crore at a ceremony held at Devak Bridge.

The official statement said the projects have been constructed in 10 border states and union territories of the northern and north-eastern regions. At a function organized by the Border Roads Organization at Devak Bridge on Bishnah-Kaulpur-Phulpur Road in Jammu and Kashmir, Raj Nath Singh will inaugurate 22 roads, 63 bridges, the Nechiphu Tunnel in Arunachal Pradesh, two airfields in West Bengal.

BRO completed the construction of these important strategic projects in the record time frame and many of these projects have been constructed in a single work session using state-of-the-art technology.

Of these projects, 11 have been built in Jammu and Kashmir, 26 in Ladakh, 36 in Arunachal Pradesh, 5 in Mizoram, 3 in Himachal Pradesh, 2 each in Sikkim, Uttarakhand and West Bengal and 1 each in Nagaland, Rajasthan.

However, speaking further at the event, Singh said, “We all have to work together to protect India's borders. And friends, we are getting everyone's support in this.

You can see examples of this in these projects also, many states have different ruling parties, but we all are moving forward supporting each other in the construction of infrastructure in the border areas. On my part, I also congratulate all the state governments for this cooperation.
