These days Google is working on its new operating system. They have released their first developer preview. It is going to have a tonne of new features. Users' experience will be improved by doing this. According to the report, wireless charging will be supported by NFC (Near Field Communication) in the new OS.

Smart devices such as trackers, styluses, and wireless earphones can be charged with Google's latest innovation.

Specifically, the codes spotted in Android 15 Beta 1 suggest that the upcoming update will support NFC charging. On this feature, Google is currently working. NFC wireless charging appears to be a project of the company, despite not being included in the Android Open Source Project (AOSP) at this time, according to some new code found there.

NFC technology can serve as a useful feature for charging small devices. When the WLC specification was first introduced, the NFC Forum proposed smartwatches, fitness trackers, wireless earbuds, digital pens and other compact user device use cases. Devices can become more compact by eliminating the need for large charging coils.

The first developer preview of Android 15 was introduced in February 2024. After this, the first beta version came in April 2024. It is expected that the final version can be rolled out to stable users in the next few months.
