Big administrative reshuffle by Central Govt.; Bhanu Prakash Eturu appointed as Deputy Election Commissioner

The Central Government effected a large administrative restructuring on Wednesday. As a part of this restructuring, 41 officers have been appointed and reappointed at the Joint Secretary level in different central ministries and departments. Bhanu Prakash Eturu (2003 batch Rajasthan cadre IAS officer) has been appointed as Deputy Election Commissioner in the Election Commission of India as per the order issued by the Ministry of Personnel.

The posts of Joint Secretaries in the Department of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare have been given to senior IAS officers Ssanjay Kumar Agarwal and P. Anbalagan. Manisha Chandra and Meera Mohanty, both belonging to the same batch, have been appointed Joint Secretaries in the Department of Defence Production. Ishita Ganguly Tripathi is appointed as Joint Secretary and Additional Financial Adviser in the Defence Ministry. Ashish Madhavrao is appointed as Joint Secretary in the Department of Financial Services.

Tamil Nadu cadre 2004 batch IAS officer Anshul Mishra has been appointed as Additional Director in AIIMS, Delhi. Senior Indian Revenue Service (Income Tax) officer Vrinda Manohar Desai has been appointed as Additional Director General in the Directorate General of Foreign Trade, Delhi. Ajit Kumar and Amod Kumar have been appointed as Joint Secretaries in the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology.

Gujarat cadre 2005 batch IAS officer Krishna Kumar Nirala has been appointed as Joint Secretary in the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting. Vyasan R has been appointed as Joint Secretary in the Department of Economic Affairs.
