TRAI Report: According to the data released by the Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) on Thursday, Jio added more than 26.44 lakh new customers in April. Airtel's customer base also increased by 1.70 lakh. The number of customers of BSNL and Mahanagar Telephone Nigam also decreased by 1.55 lakh and 67,668 respectively.

Vodafone Idea (VI), the debt-ridden telco, is facing no relief in its problems. Having received a setback in the Supreme Court in the Adjusted Gross Revenues (AGR) dues, now the consumers are also deserting the company. The scenario is such that in April 2025, the customer count of VI decreased by over 6.47 lakh.

According to the data released by the Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) on Thursday, Jio added more than 26.44 lakh new subscribers in April. Airtel's subscriber base also increased by 1.70 lakh. The number of BSNL and Mahanagar Telephone Nigam subscribers also decreased by 1.55 lakh and 67,668 respectively.

According to the data, Jio registered a strong growth of 5.7 lakh in the number of 5G fixed wireless access subscribers in April. The company had added 3.3 lakh subscribers in March. Jio Air Fiber is now available in more than 5,900 cities/towns. The company leads this segment with 81.9 percent market share. Airtel has added 1.6 lakh 5G fixed wireless access subscribers. Its market share is 18.1 percent.
