OnePlus launched two new phones with powerful processor and big battery

OnePlus Ace 5 Ultra was launched in China on Tuesday with the MediaTek Dimensity 9400+ chipset. Released alongside was the OnePlus Ace 5 Racing Edition, which uses the MediaTek Dimensity 9400e processor. Both devices are based on Android 15-based ColorOS 15. Both support the glacier cooling system. They also possess in-display optical fingerprint readers. They will be adding to the OnePlus Ace 5 and OnePlus Ace 5 Pro, which landed in China in December 2024.

The OnePlus Ace 5 Ultra is priced at CNY 2,499 (roughly Rs. 29,700) for the 12 GB+256 GB option. The phone is also available in 16 GB+256 GB, 12 GB+512 GB, and 16 GB+512 GB variants, priced at CNY 2,799 (roughly Rs. 33,200), CNY 2,999 (roughly Rs. 35,600), and CNY 3,299 (roughly Rs. 39,200).

The top variant with 16 GB+1 TB RAM and storage configuration can be purchased by customers as well. The variant is available at CNY 3,799 (approximately Rs. 45,100). The phone comes in Breeze Blue, Burning Titanium, and Phantom Black colors

OnePlus Ace 5 Racing Edition is available for CNY 1,799 (approximately Rs. 21,400) for the 12 GB+256 GB version. It also comes in 16 GB+256 GB, 12 GB+512 GB, and 16 GB+512 GB configurations with prices of CNY 2,099 (approximately Rs. 24,900), CNY 2,299 (approximately Rs. 27,300), and CNY 2,499 (approximately Rs. 29,700). It is sold in colours such as Chasing Waves White, Rock Black, and Wild Green. Both the OnePlus Ace 5 Ultra and the Ace 5 Racing Edition phones are now available for purchase in the country through the Oppo China e-store.

Features and Specifications of OnePlus Ace 5 Ultra

The OnePlus Ace 5 Ultra boasts a 6.83-inch flat 1.5K (1,272 x 2,800 pixels) 144Hz refresh rate screen with up to 1,400 nits of peak brightness, 3,840Hz PWM dimming rate, HDR10+, HDR Vivid and Dolby Vision. It is TÜV Rheinland Eye Protection 4.0 certified, the company says.

The phone is equipped with a 3nm octa-core MediaTek Dimensity 9400+ chip coupled with up to 16GB of LPDDR5x RAM and up to 1TB of UFS 4.0 internal storage. It supports Android 15-based ColorOS 15.

The OnePlus Ace 5 Ultra boasts a 50-megapixel 1/1.56-inch Sony IMX906 main sensor with an f/1.8 aperture and support for optical image stabilisation (OIS), as well as an 8-megapixel ultra-wide-angle sensor with an f/2.2 aperture. The smartphone also comes with a 16-megapixel front sensor with an f/2.4 aperture.

OnePlus mentions that the Ace 5 Ultra comes with a special 'Fengchi' gaming chip, a 'Lingxi' touch chip, and a G1 e-sports Wi-Fi chip. Both chip names are Chinese. The phone also comes with a Glacier Cooling system that comprises a 7,300 sq mm VC cooling unit and a 4,000 sq mm back cover cooling area.

The Ace 5 Ultra is equipped with a 6,700mAh battery with support for 100W wired charging. The phone offers 5G, dual 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 5.4, Beidou, GPS, GLONASS, Galileo, QZSS, NavIC, NFC, and USB Type-C connectivity. The smartphone comes with an in-display optical fingerprint reader for biometric identification.

Features and Specifications of OnePlus Ace 5 Racing Edition

The OnePlus Ace 5 Racing Edition has a 6.77-inch 1.5K (1,080×2,392 pixels) AMOLED screen with a refresh rate of up to 120Hz and peak brightness of up to 1,300 nits. The phone is powered by a 4nm octa-core MediaTek Dimensity 9400e processor paired with up to 16GB of LPDDR5x RAM and up to 512GB of UFS 4.0 storage. It also runs on ColorOS 15, which is based on Android 15.

The handset features a dual rear camera unit consisting of a 50-megapixel primary rear sensor with f/1.8 aperture and OIS support and a 2-megapixel monochrome camera. It has the same front camera sensor as the Ultra version.

OnePlus has confirmed that the Ace 5 Racing Edition also features a dedicated 'Fengchi' gaming chipset and the company's Glacier Cooling system. The handset packs a 7,100mAh battery that supports 80W wired fast charging. It has the same connectivity and security features as the Ultra version.
