BCCI announces series against Australia before England tour; Know the full schedule

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) on Thursday announced that Australia's women's team will tour India in September. A total of three ODIs will be played between the Indian and Australian women's cricket teams as part of this tour, which is planned as preparation ahead of the Women's ODI World Cup. The opening match of the series between the two nations is to be held on September 14, while the second and third matches are scheduled to take place on September 17 and 20, respectively. All the matches of the series will be held at Chennai's MA Chidambaram Stadium.

The Indian women's team, under the captaincy of Harmanpreet Kaur, will commence preparations for the ICC World Cup with a white-ball tour of England from June 28. Before facing their hosts, Australia in the ODIs, India will play a series of five T20 matches and three ODIs in England. As part of this, the board has also announced that the men's India A team will host Australia and South Africa in two multi-format series in late September. Lucknow will host the multi-day matches against Australia, and the three limited-overs matches will take place in Kanpur.

Interestingly, the two multi-day matches of the South Africa series will be held at the recently inaugurated Center of Excellence by the BCCI, which will be the first major matches to be played at this venue. The three limited-overs matches between India A and South Africa A are to be played at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru. The senior men's Proteas team will also be in India from November 14, where it has to play two Tests, three ODIs, and five T20 matches.
