Karni Sena threatens Apoorva Makhija, also dropped from the list of IIFA-2025 promoters

India's Got Latent show host and social media celebrity Apoorva Makhija has been omitted from IIFA 2025's promoters. In response to growing opposition to Apoorva Makhija in Rajasthan and protests from different groups such as Karni Sena, the Rajasthan Tourism Department omitted her from IIFA's list of promoters. She is no longer a part of IIFA's list of promoters officially.

Apart from that, there was a scheduled IIFA promotional shoot at City Palace in Udaipur, Amarai Ghat, and Pichola Lake on February 20. However, in light of the controversy that is unfolding, this shoot has been canceled.

Actually, Apoorva Makhija's name was also linked to IIFA 2025's promotional shoot in which she was asked to promote Jaipur's and Udaipur's tourist places. But after the protest regarding India's Got Latent's indecent comedy, protests also took place in Rajasthan against her. She has also complained to Kota and Udaipur Police.

IIFA organizers clarified the entire controversy and said that Apoorva Makhija was never the official promoter of IIFA. Also, her name has now been completely removed from the IIFA promotional list.

At the same time, other organizations including Rashtriya Rajput Karni Sena protested and demanded a ban on the Apoorva shooting in Udaipur. Karni Sena even said that they would not let her shoot on the land of Mewar. The workers of Shri Rajput Karni Sena warned that Apoorva Makhija should not come to Udaipur, otherwise she will be opposed.

According to sources, the Tourism Department of the Rajasthan Government also played an important role in this decision. Although the government did not issue an official statement, it is believed that the government took this step to prevent the protests from increasing.

Let us tell you that Apoorva Makhija and her show India's Got Talent are facing tremendous criticism on social media. Other hosts of the show Samay Raina and Ranveer Allahbadia are also facing heavy opposition.
