This summer has arrived in Rajasthan earlier than usual, with daytime highs nearing 37°C. The western districts, along with eastern, northern, and southern regions, are seeing rapid temperature rises due to strong sunshine. On Thursday, several districts like Jaipur, Ajmer, and Udaipur reported maximum temperatures above 31°C. The Meteorological Center forecasts clear weather across the state for the coming week. Temperatures are expected to increase by around 2°C in the next 48 hours, potentially intensifying the heat wave.

Over the past 24 hours, the entire state experienced bright sunshine throughout the day, with a mild heat wave that was particularly strong in western Rajasthan. Barmer reached 36.5°C, while Jaisalmer, Jodhpur, and Bikaner saw maximums between 34°C and 35°C.

Eastern Rajasthan has also begun to feel the heat. On Thursday, cities like Jaipur, Ajmer, Udaipur, Ganganagar, and Kota recorded maximum temperatures between 31°C and 34°C. Most cities, including Sikar and Sirohi, saw temperatures of 30°C or higher.

Despite the daytime heat, a cool morning and evening provided some relief. Thursday’s minimum temperatures ranged from 15°C to 20°C across most cities. Experts suggest that minimum temperatures are unlikely to change much over the next week, while maximum temperatures could increase by up to 2°C.
