Empowering Students and Parents through the Global University Fair

Education plays a pivotal role in shaping the future of students, and one of the essential tools in this journey is the Global University Fair. These fairs offer a multitude of advantages to both students and parents, acting as a bridge to higher education opportunities. By bringing together educational institutions from around the world, they allow students to explore a wide array of academic programs, campuses, and cultures. This exposure equips students with the knowledge they need to make well-informed decisions about their future education.

On October 18, Oakridge International School Visakhapatnam took the initiative to provide a platform for students and parents to delve into their higher education options, gain valuable insights, and make informed choices by hosting the Global University Fair. This fair showcased global opportunities in countries such as the USA, UK, India, China, Australia, Europe, Canada, and Ireland. It witnessed the participation of more than 55 world-class universities and drew the attendance of approximately 525 students and parents from various schools in Visakhapatnam.

The Global University Fair created an exceptional opportunity for students to engage directly with university representatives. This one-on-one interaction provided them with valuable information about contemporary career prospects, admission prerequisites, and potential scholarships. Furthermore, students received essential guidance on how to develop a strong university application.

Ishita, a 12th-grade student who attended the fair, shared her perspective on the event. She highlighted that the fair offered her a genuine glimpse into university life, beyond the standard admission information available elsewhere. This comprehensive understanding helped her identify the specific areas she needed to focus on in her academic journey, setting this event apart from others she had previously attended.

Ms. Shaila Bhamidipati, the Principal of Oakridge International School Visakhapatnam, emphasized the significance of providing students with the knowledge, resources, and guidance necessary for making informed decisions about their higher education. She highlighted the importance of the University Fair in enabling students to embark on a successful and fulfilling future.
