Western Disturbance Brings Rain, Relief from Heat in Rajasthan
A western disturbance has changed weather patterns across Rajasthan, bringing light rain, cloud cover, and dust storms in several regions. While temperatures remained high in many cities, rain and hailstorm alerts have been issued for districts like Jaisalmer and Hanumangarh. The system is expected to continue into early April, offering relief from heat.
The Jaipur Meteorological Center issued a warning regarding rain and thunderstorm in the state until March 31. There is also a warning issued for rain and hail in four districts on Sunday.
A western disturbance in the state has brought a change in the weather since Saturday. There was light drizzle in the afternoon in the Bikaner division. On the other hand, Jaipur, Kota, and other districts received bright sunshine on Saturday. There were clouds in the afternoon in Sikar, and there was a slight fall in temperature.
In the last 24 hours, most places in the state received hot weather due to the sun’s rays. However, there was light rain in Bikaner, Sriganganagar, Hanumangarh, and Churu due to dust storms. There was also cloud cover in the border areas of Jaisalmer late at night.

Kota and Chittorgarh recorded the highest temperatures, with temperatures reaching 38.4 degrees Celsius. Jaipur recorded a maximum temperature of 34.9 degrees Celsius.
According to the Meteorological Department, rain is expected in most parts of the state today. Hailstorms are possible, especially in Jaisalmer, Barmer, Sriganganagar, and Hanumangarh. There are indications that the effects of this active system will continue into the first week of April, when relief from the intense heat is expected.
Maximum and minimum temperatures in the state: Ajmer recorded a maximum of 34.3 degrees Celsius and a minimum of 19.4 degrees Celsius. Vanasthali (Tonk) recorded 36.7/18.8 degrees Celsius, Alwar 34.5/17.4 degrees Celsius, Jaipur 34.9/21.8 degrees Celsius, Pilani (Jhunjhunu) 34.7/17.6 degrees Celsius, and Sikar 34.0/15.5 degrees Celsius. Kota and Chittorgarh recorded the highest temperatures of 38.4/21.8 and 38.4/21.0 degrees Celsius.
Udaipur recorded 35.1/20.4 degrees Celsius, Barmer 37.1/24.3 degrees Celsius, Jaisalmer 37.0/22.6 degrees Celsius, Jodhpur 36.0/21.2 degrees Celsius and Bikaner 36.2/22.2 degrees Celsius. Churu recorded 36.4/17.4 degrees Celsius, Sriganganagar 35.4/18.5 degrees Celsius, Nagaur 33.9/18.7 degrees Celsius and Baran 35.8/17.7 degrees Celsius.
Jalore recorded 34.5/24.1, Sirohi 30.6/17.7, Fatehpur (Sikar) 35.0/14.9, Karauli 35.1/18.0, Dausa 35.4/16.8, Jhunjhunu 34.3/18.3 and Pali 34.2/18.0 degrees Celsius.
