BYD has announced the launch of its new electric car, named the BYD Song Ultra. It has a price range of ₹20.72 lakh to ₹24.54 lakh (CNY 151,900 – 179,900). It has BYD’s second-generation blade battery technology and ultra-fast flash charging.

This BYD Dynasty SUV has the same design as the BYD series. It has slim LED headlights, large LED daytime running lights, a closed grille, and a smooth bonnet. It also has 19-inch low-drag wheels, square wheels, and flap-type door handles on the sides.

The car has a well-balanced design at the back too. The taillights are inspired by the traditional Chinese knot design and are connected to each other. The BYD logo is at the center of the connected taillights. The bumper at the back has a metallic finish, giving it a sports feel.

It features a 10.25-inch instrument cluster, a 15.6-inch touchscreen, and a 26-inch head-up display. This entire setup runs on BYD's UI 7.0 system. The front seats are ventilated and heated, with 10-point massage. The driver's seat can also be adjusted in 8 different ways.

For safety, all variants are equipped with the DiSus-C intelligent damping system. It also comes with 7 airbags and a full range of ADAS features. It also has the option of DiPilot 300, which uses 27 sensors and LiDAR to perform tasks like highway navigation and automated parking.

The car comes in two battery pack options: 68.4 kWh and 82.7 kWh. The 68.4 kWh battery offers a range of 620 km (CLTC range) on a full charge, while the 82.7 kWh battery offers a range of 710 km on a full charge. The smaller battery is powered by a 240 kW electric motor, while the larger one is powered by a 270 kW electric motor.

All models generate 305 Nm of torque and have a top speed of 210 km/h. Superfast charging allows the car to charge from 10% to 70% in just 5 minutes. It takes approximately 9 minutes to charge from 10% to 97%.
