India Meteorological Department Issues Alert as Western Disturbance Hits Rajasthan

The weather in Rajasthan is set to change once again. According to the Meteorological Department, thunderstorms and rain are likely to begin from Wednesday in many parts of the state. An alert has already been issued in seven districts in the first phase, and strong thunderstorms, rain, and hail are likely to occur throughout the state on March 19 and 20. This change in weather is due to the Western Disturbance entering North India, which will surely manifest itself in Rajasthan.

On Tuesday, the weather remained cloudy throughout the day in most parts of the state, which resulted in the sun being obscured and the temperature falling by as much as 1 to 3 degrees Celsius. In Bikaner, Churu, Jaisalmer, and Jodhpur, the maximum temperature remained below 35 degrees Celsius.

Chittorgarh recorded the highest temperature of 38 degrees Celsius. Barmer recorded 36.9 degrees Celsius, and Kota 36.8 degrees Celsius. On the other hand, Sriganganagar (28.5°C) and Hanumangarh (25.7°C) experienced significantly less heat.

Both day and night temperatures dropped. Many cities, including Sikar, Churu, Sriganganagar, Bhilwara, Dausa, and Pali, recorded minimum temperatures below 15 degrees Celsius. Fatehpur (Sikar) recorded the lowest temperature of 11.4 degrees Celsius.
