Rajasthan Weather Update: Clouds Bring Relief from Heat in Jaipur and Nearby Regions

Amidst the intense heat in Rajasthan, a slight change in weather was observed on Thursday. Clouds covered most areas of Jaipur, Ajmer, and Bharatpur divisions, along with some districts in Bikaner and Jodhpur. This weather shift caused a small decrease in daytime temperatures, offering relief from the heatwave. The Meteorological Department reports that two western disturbances are likely to activate in the state over the next 10 to 12 days. Under their influence, many regions may experience cloudy skies, light rain, or drizzle.

Due to these weather patterns, the heat in Rajasthan is anticipated to stay at normal levels for the upcoming two weeks. An alert for storm and rain has been issued for eight districts on March 14. On Thursday, Kota recorded the highest temperature in the state at 38.4°C, while in Barmer, the temperature dropped from around 40-41°C to 39.4°C after several days.

The capital, Jaipur, also saw a change since morning, with light clouds shielding the sun and causing a slight temperature drop. Dusty winds from afternoon to evening contributed to the cooling. The Meteorological Department states a second weather system will become active around March 19, with its effects felt between March 19 and 21. During this time, some areas may experience cloudy weather with light rain or drizzle. The influence of these two systems suggests that Rajasthan’s temperatures will stay normal until around March 23-24.
