OpenAI CEO will come to India this week: Sam Altman will visit 6 countries including India-UAE

OpenAI's Chief Executive Director (CEO) Sam Altman will visit India this week. Sam Altman shared this information in a post on social media on Sunday (June 4). In the post, he has also told that he will also visit six countries including India during his tour this week.
Sam Altman tweeted, 'Very excited to visit Israel, Jordan, Qatar, UAE, India, and South Korea this week.'
The visit of the OpenAI CEO to India is significant, as it is taking place at a time when the country is fast becoming a global hub for AI research and development.
India has a large and growing pool of AI talent and the government is also investing heavily in AI initiatives. Sam Altman is currently on a world tour. He said last week that he thinks the idea of living on Mars is terrifying.
According to a report, Sam Altman said that he has no desire to go and live on Mars and finds it awful. The tech expert further said that we can try to send the first robot to Mars. They think our home planet Earth is really pretty amazing.
Meanwhile, OpenAI is likely to come up with a new open-source language model open to the public, reports The Information. OpenAI is the parent company of the popular AI chatbot ChatGPT.
The company unveiled ChatGPT to the world in November 2022 and the AI tool has rapidly gained popularity. From composing music and poetry to writing essays, ChatGPT has become the one-stop solution for a lot of tasks.
The tool was previously banned in New York public schools because teachers were unsure about the new technology. However, this ban has been lifted a few days back as people were ready to learn how to make the best use of the emerging technology.
