In Kannur, Kerala, a 6-year-old boy was kicked by the driver who was standing by the car. The child has a back injury. The police registered a case and arrested the accused driver on Friday morning. CCTV footage of this incident has also surfaced.
It shows a white car parked on the side of the road. A child comes and stands by his support when the driver gets out of the car angrily and says something to the boy. Then immediately he kicks her. The child first takes care of himself, then leaves from there. Some locals gather around the car and question the driver, but he runs away.
The incident occurred in the Thalassery area around 8.30 pm on Thursday night. An eyewitness informed the police soon after the incident. Following the complaint, the accused was called to the police station but was released. The accused has been identified as Shihshad, a resident of Ponnayampalam.
Police said that the accused had been charged with section 308 (attempt to murder), a non-bailable offence. The police took the boy's statement on Friday. The six-year-old is the son of a Rajasthani migrant labourer. He has a back injury. At present, he is undergoing treatment.
