Indian deep-tech startup Question What's Real (QWR) has announced AI-powered smart glasses called Humbl. The startup claims that Humbl is India's first AI smart glasses, similar to Ray-Ban Meta AI glasses. It features an AI assistant that can record videos, summarize conversations, play music, assist with navigation, and more. The startup plans to officially launch the glasses later this month.

In a press release, the deep-tech startup introduced its latest product, emphasizing that Humbl focuses on utility, discretion, and contextual awareness. Although the company did not share many details about the device, its features and appearance suggest it is similar to Ray-Ban Meta.

Humbl can be worn like ordinary sunglasses, but its primary utility becomes evident when the AI assistant is activated using the 'Hey Humbl' wake phrase. Once activated, it can record point-of-view videos via voice commands, summarize meetings and conversations, set reminders, give directions, and play music—all hands-free and voice-controlled. Additionally, the AI assistant can provide real-time translations.

The company highlighted that the smart glasses' AI assistant can gather and process data from audio and video inputs. The device’s cameras provide visual feeds, enabling it to recognize objects and landmarks and guide the user with turn-by-turn directions.

However, QWR did not disclose details about the hardware specifications or the Large Language Model (LLM) powering the AI assistant. Although the device is expected to launch later this month, the startup stated that shipping will not begin until the last quarter of 2025. There is no product information on the startup's website yet, but promotional videos are available on its social media channels.

QWR was founded in 2017 by Suraj Aiar and specializes in Augmented Reality (AR), Virtual Reality (VR), and Extended Reality (XR). The startup has created and sold two VR headsets and a pair of smart glasses called Aurl. Aurl are audio-based smart glasses with integrated speakers and do not have cameras.
