Dense Fog Alert Issued in 10 Rajasthan Districts as Cold Intensifies
Fog Alert Rajasthan: Following rain and hailstorms in Rajasthan, the change in weather has intensified the cold again. The Meteorological Center, Jaipur, issued a dense fog alert in 10 districts on Thursday. A mild cold wave and a drop in temperature were recorded in many areas. The minimum temperature in Pali remained below 5 degrees. According to the Meteorological Department, a western disturbance will become active from January 31, bringing clouds, light rain, and hailstorms.
With the recent rainfall and the hailstorm in Rajasthan, the weather has changed, increasing the cold temperatures again. A dense fog alert has been issued by the Meteorological Center, Jaipur, for 10 districts of the state today. A mild cold wave along with a fall in temperatures is also expected to occur in many areas of the state. On Wednesday, fog and mist were seen in many areas of the state, while the cold winds also caused a fall in temperatures. The effects of the cold were seen in the morning, the evening, as well as the day time. Pali was the coldest place where the minimum temperature was below 5 degrees Celsius.
In the last 24 hours, dense fog was observed in Sriganganagar, Hanumangarh, Churu, Sikar, Jhunjhunu, and Alwar. Light fog and mist also prevailed in the Bikaner, Jaisalmer, Phalodi, Jodhpur, and Nagaur belts. Due to the fog, the maximum daytime temperature remained below 25 degrees Celsius in most cities of the state.
According to Radheshyam Sharma, Director of the Meteorological Center, Jaipur, the weather in the state will remain largely clear on January 29 and 30. However, fog may persist in the morning in the northeastern districts, especially in the Bikaner, Jaipur, and Bharatpur divisions. Cold winds are also expected during this period. A western disturbance will become active from January 31, which may cause cloud cover in the Jaipur, Bikaner, and Bharatpur divisions. There is a possibility of hailstorms along with light rain at some places. The impact of this system may persist on February 1st in eastern Rajasthan, especially the Bharatpur division.
According to temperatures recorded in major cities of the state on January 28th, Ajmer recorded a maximum of 21.8 degrees Celsius and a minimum of 9.6 degrees Celsius. Alwar recorded a maximum of 18.0 degrees Celsius and a minimum of 11.0 degrees Celsius. Jaipur recorded a maximum of 22.0 degrees Celsius and a minimum of 11.7 degrees Celsius. Pilani recorded a maximum of 18.5 degrees Celsius and a minimum of 11.2 degrees Celsius. Sikar recorded a maximum of 19.0 degrees Celsius and a minimum of 9.5 degrees Celsius. Kota recorded a maximum of 19.9 degrees Celsius and a minimum of 13.2 degrees Celsius. Chittorgarh recorded a maximum of 25.4 degrees Celsius and a minimum of 9.0 degrees Celsius. Udaipur recorded a maximum of 22.7 degrees Celsius and a minimum of 9.6 degrees Celsius. Barmer recorded a maximum of 29.6 degrees Celsius and a minimum of 10.1 degrees Celsius. Jaisalmer recorded a maximum of 22.4 degrees Celsius and a minimum of 8.4 degrees Celsius. Jodhpur recorded a maximum of 23.0 degrees Celsius and a minimum of 9.1 degrees Celsius. Bikaner recorded a maximum of 20.4 degrees Celsius and a minimum of 7.6 degrees Celsius. Churu recorded a maximum of 20.1 degrees Celsius and a minimum of 10.8 degrees Celsius. Ganganagar recorded a maximum of 20.1 degrees Celsius and a minimum of 7.7 degrees Celsius. Nagaur recorded a maximum of 21.3 degrees Celsius and a minimum of 5.7 degrees Celsius. Bara recorded a maximum of 20.2 degrees Celsius and a minimum of 14.1 degrees Celsius. Jalore recorded a maximum of 23.1 degrees Celsius and a minimum of 8.8 degrees Celsius. Sirohi recorded a maximum of 16.6 degrees Celsius and a minimum of 6.9 degrees Celsius. Fatehpur recorded a maximum of 20.0 degrees Celsius and a minimum of 10.3 degrees Celsius.
