Scorching Days Ahead: Jaipur Meteorological Center Warns of Rising Temperatures

The heat wave in Rajasthan continues to intensify, with many cities experiencing temperatures above 35°C on Tuesday. In western districts, the heat was especially intense and scorching during the day, with Barmer's temperature surpassing 38°C. While minimum temperatures slightly decreased, leading to cooler nights in some places, overall temperatures remained above normal.

The Jaipur Meteorological Center predicts temperatures will rise further over the next two to three days, with daytime heat remaining fierce. Over the past 24 hours, the sky was clear and the sun shone brightly from morning, with maximum temperatures of 35°C or higher in cities like Pilani, Chittorgarh, Pali, Jaisalmer, Jodhpur, Phalodi, Bikaner, Churu, Nagaur, Jalore, and Lunkaransar.

All major cities in the state recorded maximum temperatures above 31°C on Tuesday. Alwar reached 31.4°C, Jaipur and Udaipur 33.9°C, Sikar 32.5°C, Ganganagar 33.3°C, Baran 32.9°C, Hanumangarh 31.2°C, Sirohi 32.8°C, and Jhunjhunu 33.5°C. Due to the intense heat, fans are being used in homes and offices during mornings and evenings in many cities, while in western districts, coolers and air conditioners are also being employed during the day.

Although daytime temperatures are rising, minimum temperatures dropped by 1 to 2°C on Tuesday night. Churu, Sikar, Alwar, Tonk, Karauli, Dausa, Jhunjhunu, and Baran recorded minimums below 15°C, with Fatehpur experiencing the lowest at 10.5°C. This temperature decline has caused a slight chill in some areas during the night.
