In Jammu and Kashmir, 3 terrorists crossing the border in Baramulla's Uri sector were killed. A huge cache of arms and ammunition has been recovered from the intruders. Officials of the security forces said that the army personnel noticed suspicious movement near the Line of Control (LoC), after which this action was taken. The firing was also done by the terrorists.
According to news agency PTI, officials informed that there were a total of four infiltrators, out of which three were killed, and the fourth terrorist escaped. The fourth terrorist could not be traced due to bad weather and fog. Search for him is going on. This is the third infiltration attempt in five days. In these five days, 5 terrorists were killed.
Here, this morning Bandipora police arrested two Lashkar terrorists in a joint operation with 26 Assam Rifles. According to the Jammu and Kashmir Police, arms and ammunition have also been recovered from them, including 3 pistols with magazines, 24 live 9MM cartridges, 5 hand grenades, fake police ID cards, and fake ID cards of the health department.
Earlier on 22-23 August, in a second operation, 3 terrorists tried to infiltrate in Lam sector of Nowshera. The jawans were keeping an eye on them, as soon as they crossed the LoC and reached near the minefields, the mines got activated.
Two terrorists died on the spot in the blast. One terrorist was injured, but took advantage of the bad weather and fled. The bodies of the slain terrorists were recovered the next day i.e. on 24 August. Right now the search operation is going on here, but there are land mines in this area, so it is being done carefully.
On August 21, 4-5 terrorists tried to infiltrate from near the LoC in Rajouri, Jammu and Kashmir. They were trying to cut the fencing on the Indian post when the soldiers saw them. The soldiers challenged them, after which all the terrorists started running away. During this, a terrorist was injured in the firing of Indian soldiers and was caught alive. The rest of his companions fled taking advantage of the dense forests. The name of the arrested terrorist is Tabrak Hussain. The injured Tabrak was immediately given medical treatment.
Tabarak told that he is a resident of Kotli district of Pakistan. During interrogation, he revealed the conspiracy to attack the Indian post. The terrorist told that a Pakistani colonel had given him 30 thousand Pakistani rupees (Indian Rupees 10,980) to attack the Indian post.
He has confessed these things in the video, which has been released by the news agency. This terrorist has already come under the grip of the Indian Army. Tabarak was also arrested by the Indian Army in the same area in 2016. Then he came with his brother Haroon Ali. However, then the army released him on humanitarian grounds. He was deported back to Pakistan in November 2017.
