Spanish President Pedro Sanchez Corona positive, will not attend G-20 summit

Spanish President Pedro Sanchez became Corona positive on Thursday (September 8), and his report has come positive. Pedro will not participate in the G20 summit to be held in Delhi on September 9-10. President Pedro Sanchez announced his coronavirus infection on X (formerly Twitter).

"I tested positive for coronavirus this afternoon and will not be able to travel to New Delhi for the G20 summit. I am feeling fine," Sanchez said on Twitter. He said that in his place Spain will be represented at the G20 summit by First Vice President Nadia Calvino and the Minister of Economic Affairs and Foreign Affairs, the European Union and Cooperation.

President Pedro Sanchez is the third world leader to skip the G20 summit. Before him, China's President Xi Jinping and Russia's President Vladimir Putin will not attend the G20 conference. Meanwhile, the stage has been set for the G20 summit at the Bharat Mandapam in Delhi.

This is the first time that the G20 summit is being held under the chairmanship of India. Many global leaders and representatives are attending this event. The security arrangements in Delhi have been made impenetrable due to the presence of global leaders.
