According to the police officer, there was an explosion in the warehouse in the Nakeri-Betul area on Thursday night around 10:30. There is no report of any casualty in this. The impact of the explosion was so intense that it caused cracks in many houses. Its sound was heard from a long distance.

Many villagers ran towards the spot after hearing the sound. The Petroleum and Explosives Safety Organization (PESO) of the Union Ministry of Commerce and Industry suspended the license of Hughes Precision Manufacturing Private Limited on Friday.

Joint Chief Explosives Controller R. Rawat has issued a show cause notice to the company and sought a reply within 21 days. South Goa Collector Agna Cleetus said that the cause of the explosion has not been identified yet. She has issued orders to keep people away from the explosion site.
