Skoda Auto India is recalling its Kodiaq SUV due to a problem with the inner frame of the front seats. The problem is in the cars that were made between March 10 and December 8, 2025.

According to the Society of Indian Automobile Manufacturers, the defect is in the edge of the inner frame of the front seats. This may cause the side airbags to not function properly in a collision. This could reduce the impact of the airbags and increase the risk of injury to passengers.

The second-generation Kodiaq was first introduced in India in April last year. The car is Skoda’s top seller in the country. The car features a 2.0-liter turbo petrol engine and a 7-speed automatic gearbox.

The Kodiaq's price varies depending on its different models. Currently, the SUV's starting price ranges from ₹39.99 lakh to ₹45.95 lakh (ex-showroom). Its premium variants, such as the Sportline, are priced at ₹46.89 lakh, and the L&K variant is priced at ₹48.69 lakh (ex-showroom).
