Western Disturbance Continues to Impact Rajasthan, Rain and Thunderstorms Likely Today

The active Western Disturbance in Rajasthan is likely to continue affecting the area on Tuesday. According to the Meteorological Department, there is a possibility of thunderstorms and rain in seven districts today. The effects are likely to continue till the first week of April. The effects were more pronounced on Monday. There has been rain accompanied by strong winds in several districts of Rajasthan, including Kota. There has been hail in some places as well. Kota has received more than 20.4 mm of rain, while light rain has been reported in Kotkasim and Tapukda in Alwar.

During the past 24 hours, Alwar, Bharatpur, Dholpur, Karauli, Dausa, Sawai Madhopur, Kota, Bundi, Baran, Jhalawar, Tonk, and parts of Jaipur and Ajmer have experienced cloudy skies and rain at several places. Light rain was also recorded in Sriganganagar, Hanumangarh, Churu, and Bikaner. This change in weather has led to a drop in temperatures. Maximum temperatures in many cities dropped by 2 to 6 degrees, providing relief from the heat. Kota and Chittorgarh recorded a maximum temperature of 37 degrees Celsius.

According to the Meteorological Center, Jaipur, April is also expected to begin with rain. However, the impact of this system will gradually weaken over the next two to three days, after which temperatures may rise again.

The maximum and minimum temperatures of the state's cities in the past 24 hours were as follows. Kota and Chittorgarh recorded a maximum temperature of 37 degrees Celsius, while Barmer recorded 36.4 and Baran, Karauli and Pratapgarh recorded 35.9 degrees. Jaipur recorded a maximum temperature of 33.7 degrees and a minimum of 24.7 degrees.

Ajmer recorded 34/24.3, Alwar 35/20.4 and Udaipur 35/23.2 degrees. Pilani recorded 33.3/21, Sikar 29.5/21 and Jhunjhunu 31.8/22.5 degrees. Jodhpur recorded 35/25.7, Bikaner 31.8/24 and Churu 31.5/22.2 degrees. Ganganagar recorded a temperature of 34/20.6 and Nagaur 32.6/24.6 degrees. The temperature in Dausa was 35.3/22.4, Pali 34.6/25.2 and Sirohi 30.4/19.4 degrees.
