BMW India to hike car prices by 2% from April 1, cites rising costs
BMW Price Hike: BMW India is going to increase the prices of all its cars by 2% from April 2026. The company cited rising foreign exchange rates and manufacturing costs as the reasons behind this.
BMW India claims it will increase the prices of all its cars and Mini range vehicles by 2%. According to the company’s CEO, Hardeep Singh Brar, the increase comes as a result of the rupee’s decline, transportation costs, and the rise of raw materials.
BMW has two methods for selling their cars. Prices for both methods will increase as of April 1, 2026. This includes locally produced vehicles such as the BMW 2 Series Gran Coupe, BMW 3 Series Long Wheelbase, BMW 5 Series Long Wheelbase, BMW 7 Series, BMW X1, BMW X3, BMW X5, BMW X7, BMW M340i, and BMW iX1 Long Wheelbase.
On the other hand, the BMW i5, BMW i7, BMW i7 M70, BMW iX, BMW Z4 M40i, BMW M2 Coupe, BMW M2 CS, BMW M4 Competition, BMW M4 CS, BMW M5, BMW M8 Competition Coupe, BMW XM (Plug-in-Hybrid), Mini Cooper S, Mini Countryman E, Mini JCW Countryman All4, Mini Countryman SE, and Mini Convertible are offered as CBUs.

BMW has launched its new car, the M2 CS, in India at a price of ₹1.66 crore (ex-showroom). After the M4 CS, this is the brand's second CS model in the Indian market. This car will come to India as a completely built (CBU) car from abroad. It is more powerful and lighter than the regular M2.
Special modifications have been made to its suspension and bodywork to allow for better handling.
It's powered by a 3.0-liter twin-turbo engine that produces 530 hp and 650 Nm of torque. This same engine powers the BMW M4 GT3 EVO racing car. The car accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in just 3.8 seconds and reaches a top speed of 302 km/h.
