Heatwave Alert: Bright Sunshine Pushes Temperatures Close to 40°C Across Rajasthan
Weather Report: The heat wave is intensifying in Rajasthan. Clear skies will prevail for the next three to four days, and temperatures will rise by 2-3 degrees. Kota and Barmer were the hottest, with temperatures reaching between 35 and 39 degrees in many cities.
The heatwave prevailing in Rajasthan is only increasing due to the hot sun throughout the day in Rajasthan. On Saturday, the temperatures increased by 2 to 5 degree Celsius in many districts, such as Jaipur, Alwar, and Sikar, while Kota and Barmer recorded the highest maximum temperature of 39.6 degree Celsius. The temperatures at night in the western part of Rajasthan have started to rise. For instance, Barmer recorded minimum temperature of 25.4 degree Celsius. However, according to Met centre, Jaipur, there could be further increase of 2 to 3 degree Celsius in temperatures in the next 3-4 days due to clear sky and bright sunshine.
Most cities recorded maximum temperatures between 35 and 40 degrees Celsius. Kota and Barmer were the hottest, with a maximum temperature of 39.6 degrees Celsius. Jodhpur recorded 37.8, Chittorgarh 37.2, and Udaipur 37.1 degrees Celsius. Jaipur and Bhilwara recorded 36.5 degrees Celsius, while Bikaner and Vanasthali (Tonk) recorded 36.6 degrees Celsius.
Ajmer and Alwar recorded maximum temperatures around 35 degrees Celsius, while Pilani recorded 35 and Sriganganagar 35.5 degrees Celsius. Sikar, Jhunjhunu, and Fatehpur (Sikar) were relatively cooler, recording 34.5, 34.3, and 30.3 degrees Celsius, respectively. Night temperatures also varied, with Sirohi recording a minimum of 14.8 degrees Celsius and Fatehpur (Sikar) 11.8 degrees Celsius, while Barmer recorded a low of 25.4 degrees Celsius. Overall, the state is experiencing warm days and relatively cool nights.
