Sadhvi Sail Crowned Femina Miss India World 2026

Popular anchors Maniesh Paul and Sarah Jane Dias set the tone for the night with their warm welcome. The event was further enriched by powerful addresses from Prof. Dr. Achyuta Samanta and Mr. Vineet Jain, Managing Director of The Times Group, both of whom emphasised the transformative power of education and the pivotal role of young women in nation-building.

This season’s theme, “Connecting the DOTS” – Daughters of This Soil – beautifully captured the essence of unity in diversity. The journey began in November 2025 with a nationwide talent hunt that spanned five zones across India. After rigorous auditions, 30 state winners were selected and put through an intensive grooming boot camp in Mumbai, where industry experts helped them sharpen their skills and build inner confidence.

At KIIT University, the Top 30 contestants experienced warm hospitality. They toured the sprawling campus, interacted with students and faculty, and were welcomed by nearly 40,000 enthusiastic children from KISS. The winners also immersed themselves in Odia culture by celebrating the Odia New Year with traditional cuisine and visiting the sacred Jagannath Temple and the historic Konark Sun Temple.

The finale featured several memorable segments. The opening round saw all 30 state winners introduce themselves with poise and confidence. A highlight was the “Vishwa Sutra – Weaves of India for the World” showcase, presented in collaboration with the Office of the Development Commissioner (Handlooms), Ministry of Textiles. The contestants showcased contemporary interpretations of India’s diverse handloom traditions, styled with exquisite jewellery from Tanishq.

Renowned singer Jubin Nautiyal mesmerised the audience with his soulful performance, followed by an elegant gown round. Another fashion segment featured stunning creations by designer Prbhjiit Maniktala under the label Vazaneh, inspired by the “Daughters of This Soil” theme and complemented by Tanishq jewellery.

Special sub-titles added excitement to the evening. Femina Miss India Gujarat 2026, Parinaz Cooper, was awarded the Times Miss Beauty With a Purpose title for raising the highest individual contribution of nearly ₹23.61 lakh as part of a collaborative initiative with Ketto that collected ₹66,17,295 for children’s education and medical aid. Femina Miss India Sikkim 2026, Passang Deekila Sherpa, won the Times Miss Multimedia Award. Both received direct entry into the Top 15.

The competition intensified with a dynamic Q&A round featuring the Top 8 finalists, judged by an esteemed jury including veteran actress Zeenat Aman, filmmaker Madhur Bhandarkar, Olympian Dutee Chand, actress Neha Dhupia, choreographer Terence Lewis, actress Simran, Celina Jaitley, composer Amaal Mallik, and Vartika Singh.

Bollywood actor Ishaan Khatter and dancer Lauren Gottlieb further elevated the energy with their electrifying performances.

The coronation moment was deeply emotional as outgoing queen Femina Miss India World 2024, Nikita Porwal, along with other previous winners, crowned the new titleholders.

About the Winners:

Sadhvi Sail, the newly crowned Femina Miss India World 2026, hails from Goa. Described as easy-going yet deeply driven, she values authenticity, meaningful connections, and personal growth. Her calm demeanour combined with a strong sense of purpose makes her a worthy representative for India on the global stage.

Rajnandini Pawar, the 1st Runner-Up from Maharashtra, brings an optimistic and resilient spirit. Deeply rooted in her culture and family values, she believes in showing up as her authentic self and making a positive impact through courage and grace.

Sree Advaita, the 2nd Runner-Up, is a 24-year-old medical practitioner, accomplished dancer, and model with Tamil-Telugu roots. Having performed over 600 Bharatanatyam shows and founded The Aanya Foundation, her journey of overcoming personal challenges reflects remarkable perseverance and a commitment to social good.
