Politics started on strict discipline in UK schools: some schools are saying it is necessary for success

Some schools in Britain will once again have strictness for studies. Children will be reprimanded for making mistakes. The era of strict discipline may start again. This is because of the continuing deterioration of children's results after the relaxation of strict discipline in schools.
Now some private schools have suggested an alternative to the old way of education with strict discipline to deal with it. For this, private schools are demanding more fees from parents with permission. The proposal was made by Catherine Birbal Singh, headmistress of Michaela Community School in North London. After this, the debate intensified in London. The matter caught political fire and the country was divided into two factions.
On the other hand, people opposing it say that we see schools as centers of education and not as rocket launching pads of success. On the other hand, the opponents of this method are saying that strict discipline is not the only option for the development of children.
Their appreciation can also encourage them to do better through merit points. Some sociologists argue that children prefer discipline to what adults refer to as rigidity. They feel that this will lead to their growth and development.
Indeed, classroom politics has been a part of class politics in Britain. In Britain, there have been separate schools for children of different classes of people. Roald Dahl writes in his book 'The Agony' - In Britain's grammar schools, children were beaten until they bled for some mistake or for not remembering something, even if they were princes. Or the children of a poor person.
These grammar schools were closed in 1960. New comprehensive schools opened. The old ways have been abandoned. After this came the era of Sunbeam schools in Britain, in which there was no place for strict discipline.
Children are not tested in British schools until they are 18 years old. There is a grading system in place. In this also only two grades are given – A and A Star. Teachers do not put a red mark on the copies of the children. Former teacher Tom Bennett says- If the child does not want to learn, then it is necessary to be strict with him.
