The International Organization for Migration said in a report released on Tuesday that India, Mexico, China, Philippines, and France were the top five remittances (money sent home by migrants) recipient countries in 2022. Pakistan and Bangladesh were the sixth and eighth largest recipients in 2022, receiving $30 billion and $21.5 billion, respectively.

India, Pakistan, and Bangladesh are three of the top ten countries in the world for receiving international remittances. This highlights labor migration out of the area.

India has made a $500,000 donation to the UN Anti-Terrorism Trust Fund, demonstrating its steadfast support for multilateral initiatives in the international campaign against terrorism. Ruchira Kamboj, India's Permanent Representative to the UN, presented Vladimir Voronkov, Under-Secretary-General of the UN Office on Counter-Terrorism (UNOCT), with the nation's voluntary financial contribution of five lakh dollars on Tuesday.
