The Western Disturbance, which continues to be active over Rajasthan, is experiencing significant changes in the weather. After the new system became active on Saturday, border districts including Jaisalmer, Barmer, and Sriganganagar experienced rain and strong winds, bringing a break from the heat.

In the past 24 hours, light to moderate rain was recorded in Bikaner, Jaisalmer, Barmer, Sriganganagar, and Phalodi. Heavy rain in Ramgarh and Kuchdi areas of Jaisalmer flooded fields, damaging harvested crops.

Temperatures have dropped in western Rajasthan due to the changing weather. The maximum temperature in Barmer was recorded at 32.2 degrees Celsius, followed by Jaisalmer at 31.4 degrees Celsius and Jodhpur at 32.4 degrees Celsius. Jaipur recorded a maximum temperature of 28.6 degrees Celsius, with cloudy skies in the afternoon.

Partly cloudy skies were also observed in several districts, including Sikar, Alwar, Jhunjhunu, Ajmer, Kota, and Udaipur, with temperatures ranging from 27 to 31 degrees Celsius. Pali recorded the highest temperature of 32.9 degrees Celsius.

Due to rain and cold winds, night temperatures also dropped. Minimum temperatures in most cities across the state were recorded below 20 degrees Celsius, resulting in a mild chill.

According to the Meteorological Center, another weak western disturbance is active, which may bring light rain and thundershowers to Jodhpur, Bikaner division, and the Shekhawati region on March 22nd. After this, the weather is expected to remain dry in most areas for the next four to five days.
