India’s Trishna Ray Wins Miss Teen Universe 2024, Marking a Golden Year for India in Pageantry

Now India’s Trishna Ray has won Miss Teen Universe 2024 after Rachel Gupta’s win at Miss Grand International. Part of the prestigious global competition held in Kimberley South Africa, the Gotham Awards was been attended by teen beauty queens from all over the world. Trishna’s win shows dedication and India’s once again towering on the international arena. Being a strong contender, now all eyes are on the ongoing Miss Universe pageant where it is India’s Ria Singha is representing India as a contender.

Modeled after Miss Universe, Miss Teen Universe is an annual competition designed specifically for teenage participants. Trishna won the title of Miss Teen Universe India, after which she was chosen by Glamanand Group to be her country's representative to the international stage. Her rise has been applauded not only by her family and the organisation, but by so many Indians too. Hailing from Odisha, Trishna Rai comes from a military family. Her father, Colonel Dilip Kumar Ray, and mother, Rajshree Ray, are overjoyed with her achievement. Trishna’s journey to the crown was filled with challenges; she faced several setbacks yet remained undeterred. Due to visa issues, she missed competing in events in Colombia and the Dominican Republic, but these obstacles only fueled her determination. Her perseverance and hard work culminated in her winning the title of Miss Teen Universe 2024, an inspiring example of resilience and dedication.

Trishna's National Director, Nikhil Anand, said he was proud with his athlete and always knew she was capable and prepared. "I was confident that Trishna would bring this title home and make India proud,' he said. 2024 is a ‘golden’ year for India in pageantry, Anand says, and two big international wins have already been banked. As Miss Universe 2024 unfolds, there is a rising anticipation and hope that Ria Singha will also bring the crown home, further solidifying India’s growing presence in global beauty competitions.

Glamanand Group’s PR Head, Sarvesh Kashyap, also shared his joy, calling Trishna’s achievement a moment of pride for Odisha and for the entire nation. And he said that Trishna’s victory is with all her perseverance and if that is done throughout Odisha but whole of India has immensely proud; that’s the positive way to win, he said.
