Kia Carens Gets Dealership-Level CNG Fitment Amid Growing Demand for Green Fuel Options

Kia retails cars in a few segments in the Indian market. Kia Carens, which is available in the budget MPV segment, has also been introduced with CNG. As per media reports, Kia has introduced the Carens with CNG. But the company has not officially announced the launch of a CNG version of this MPV. As per details, the company is providing CNG only at the dealership level. This MPV is being sold with aftermarket CNG.

The Kia Carens will be equipped with options such as 15- and 16-inch tyres, halogen lamps, halogen tail lamps, shark fin antenna, tilt steering, power windows, rear view camera, 12.5-inch digital instrument cluster, 8-inch infotainment system, Android Auto, Apple CarPlay, semi-leatherette seats, Type-C charging port, keyless entry, and a range of seven colours.

The Kia Carens will come with safety features such as ABS, EBD, ESC, HAC, VSM, DBC, six airbags, rear parking sensors, disc brakes on all four wheels, ISOFIX child anchorage, and speed-sensing door locks.

The Kia Carens will be offered with three engine options. It will only be available in the Smartstream G1.5 T-GDi 6iMT, Smartstream G1.5 6MT, and 1.5L CRDi VGT 6MT variants. Kia has added an additional ₹77,900 to the price of the Carens, bringing the ex-showroom price of the MPV to ₹11.77 lakh. Kia offers the Carens in the budget MPV segment, competing directly with the Maruti Ertiga in this segment.
