Boeing Row: Crisis on Boeing deepens, America said - company can be sued for two 737 Max accidents

Two different Boeing 737 Max plane crashes that occurred five years ago may give rise to legal action against Boeing. These mishaps claimed the lives of 346 people. This information was released on Tuesday by the US Justice Department. Department representatives warned that Boeing might face legal repercussions for the crashes if it did not fulfil its end of the bargain in a letter to a federal court in Texas.

Contrarily, Boeing stated to a news organization, "We believe that we have respected the terms of that agreement." Boeing has declared that it will fight back.

US officials said in their letter that Boeing had breached its obligations by failing to enforce existing directives to prevent and detect violations of US fraud laws during its operations.

According to US justice officials, such a violation means Boeing could be prosecuted for any violations of federal law related to the accidents.

The government is evaluating how to proceed in the matter. In this matter, Boeing has been directed to reply by June 13. US officials also plan to meet with the families of those killed in the crashes of Lion Air Flight 610 and Ethiopian Airlines Flight 302.

"We will cooperate with the Department with full transparency, as we have done throughout the term of the agreement, including responding to their questions following the Alaska Airlines 1282 crash," Boeing said in a statement to a news agency. "
