Team India will play so many warm-up matches before T20 World Cup 2024, BCCI made this demand

The 2024 T20 World Cup, which America and the West Indies will co-host, is now just over two weeks away. For the massive event, the ICC and the host nations are working hard to get ready. Every nation taking part in the World Cup has revealed their teams, with the exception of Pakistan. News is emerging, however, indicating that Team India wants to play just one practice match prior to this World Cup, as stated by the BCCI. Previously, though, it had consistently participated in two practice matches at ICC events.

Actually, according to the report of Cricbuzz, BCCI is willing to organize a practice match of the T20 World Cup 2024 Team India in New York. The Indian team has to play 3 out of its 4 group-stage matches at the Nassau County International Cricket Stadium in New York. However, the schedule of practice matches has not been released yet by ICC.

At the same time, there is no possibility of England and Pakistan taking part in the two practice matches. Actually, the defending champion English team is going to play a 4-match T20 series against Pakistan. This series will start on 22 May from Headingley, Leeds. Whereas the last match will be held on May 30 at Kennington Oval, London. In such a situation, England will get only 4 days' rest before the start of the World Cup campaign.
