Air India flights to Tel Aviv suspended till May 15, big decision amid ongoing tension in West Asia

Air India has suspended its flights to Tel Aviv until May 15 in light of the ongoing tensions in West Asia. The airline had announced on April 19 that it would not be operating any flights to Tel Aviv until April 30. There are four flights per week between the Israeli city and Delhi.

The airline said in a statement on Tuesday that it has extended the suspension of flights to and from Tel Aviv until May 15 amid ongoing tensions in the Middle East.

Air India said that we are continuously monitoring the situation and providing assistance to our passengers who have booked tickets to travel to Tel Aviv during this period.

These passengers have been given a one-time exemption on fees for setting new dates and canceling tickets. Air India had suspended flights to Tel Aviv from October 7, 2023, following the attack by the Hamas group on the Israeli city. Israel and the Hamas group are also negotiating a possible ceasefire.
