3 Indian Women Made A Place In Forbes Asia Power Businesswoman 2022 List, Know
In Corona too, Forbes Asia in its November issue has selected women business leaders who have come up with different strategies.
The Forbes Asia Power Businesswoman 2022 list has been released. Three Indian women – Ghazal Alagh, Soma Mandal, and Namita Thapar have made it to the Forbes list of Asia's Power Businesswomen 2022. Ghazal is the co-founder of Mamaearth. Soma is the chairperson of SAIL, while Namita is the executive director of Emcure Pharma's Indian business.
Laugh and Namita Thapar have appeared as judges in Shark Tank India. Other women on the list are from Asian countries such as Australia, China, South Korea, Indonesia, Japan, Singapore, South Korea, Taiwan, and Thailand.

These women carried on with their businesses despite the COVID-19 pandemic and the uncertainty it caused. The name of the first Indian woman in the Ghazal Alagi list is Ghazal Alagh. Gazal, co-founder, and chief innovation officer of Mamaearth's parent company Honda Consumer, started the Gurgaon-based company in 2016 with her husband Varun.
Varun is the CEO of Mamaearth. In January of the same year, Alagh's company became Unicorn. Soma Mandal is the second Indian businessman on the list, Soma Mandal. Som, the chairperson of Steel Authority of India Limited (SAIL), is the first woman to head the government-run company. Forbes said that since the board became SAIL chairman in 2021, annual revenue has increased by 50 percent for the year ended March 31, 2022.
Namita Thapar Namita Thapar, who serves as the Executive Director of Emcure Pharma's Indian business, is the third Indian to feature in Forbes Asia's Power Businesswomen 2022 list. Namita Thapar was seen as a judge in Shark Tank India. The Rs 61 billion company is based in Pune. Namita oversees its Indian business.
The company was founded 40 years ago by Namita's father Satish Mehta. According to a Times Now report, Emcure's domestic revenue has grown since Nimita Thapar took over the company's India operations five years ago. Revenue doubled to Rs 25 billion in 2021. She said, “I focused on using data analytics to drive brand building as well as increase productivity of field staff.
Other women on the Forbes Asia Power Businesswoman 2022 list are from Australia, China, South Korea, Indonesia, Japan, and Singapore, from South Korea, Taiwan, and Thailand.
