Tragedy in Chomu: Speeding SUV Collides with Motorcycles, Four of a Family Lose Lives
Tragic Road Accident: In Chomu, Jaipur, a speeding SUV hit three bikes belonging to a family returning from Khatu Shyamji. Four people were killed and three others seriously injured. All were devotees. A case has been registered, and an investigation is underway.
Four members of one family were killed and three seriously injured in a ghastly road accident at Chomu locality in Jaipur district early on Wednesday. The accident took place while they were coming back from the Khatu Shyamji Temple. The accident took place near the Rampura culvert at the Chomu locality when the speeding SUV collided with three motorcycles. The Thar was said to have been traveling at a very high speed, and both bikes were smashed to pieces upon collision, based on eyewitness accounts. Police have impounded the Thar vehicle and constituted squads to track down the missing driver.
One person died on the spot in the accident, while the remaining six injured were first taken to the government hospital in Chomu and then referred to Sawai Mansingh (SMS) Hospital in Jaipur in critical condition. Three of these died during treatment. The deceased have been identified as Virendra Srivastava (55), Sunil Srivastava (50), Shweta Srivastava (26), and her husband Lucky Srivastava (30). All are said to be members of the same family. Police have seized the vehicle, and the case is being investigated. The family was devastated upon receiving news of the accident.
