Scorching Heat Grips Rajasthan: Phalodi Hits 44°C, Thunderstorms May Bring Relief
Rajasthan Weather: The intense heat wave continues to affect Rajasthan, with temperatures in Phalodi reaching 44 degrees Celsius and heatwave-like conditions prevailing in several western districts. Meanwhile, there are signs of a change in weather in eastern parts, including Jaipur, where an alert has been issued for thunderstorms, rain, and strong winds.

The intensity of the heat wave has increased in Rajasthan. The latest climate statistics indicate that temperatures have been increasing rapidly in western regions. During the past 24 hours, the highest temperatures were recorded in Phalodi at around 44° C. Other regions that witnessed temperatures in the range of 42–43°C included Barmer, Jaisalmer, and Bikaner. The heat has been made worse by the low humidity (10-30%).
In the state capital, Jaipur, the maximum temperatures have been around 40°C. Some respite may come within the next 24 hours, according to the Met Department, which says partly cloudy weather with thunderstorms, lightning, and winds at speeds of 30-40 km/h can be expected. Light rain is also possible in some areas, which could lead to a drop in temperatures.
The weather has suddenly changed in Dausa district. Light rain fell in Bandikui and surrounding areas, bringing relief from the heat. The sky remained overcast and thunderstorms continued.
