Bangladesh won the first T20 International against New Zealand by 6 wickets. In the first game, Bangladesh scored 183 runs made by New Zealand in the Bir Sreshtho Flight Lieutenant Matiur Rahman Cricket Stadium in 4 wickets and 18 balls remaining.
While chasing 183 runs, the good start of Bangladesh consisted of Saif Hasan and Tanzid Hasan Tamim, who added up 41 runs in the first wicket. Saif Hasan was dismissed for 17 off 16 balls. However, Tanzid Hasan faced difficulty while scoring runs, as he took 25 balls to make 20 runs. The next batsman in number three was Liton Das, but he also got out for 21 runs off 15 balls.
