Rajasthan Weather Swings: Heatwave Continues Amid Rain, Storm Alerts

The weather in Rajasthan is now fluctuating quite often. Though the scorching sun and the heat wave have made many suffer, there has been some respite for residents from storms, rains, and hailstones in various districts. Weathermen have warned about the coming days.

The weather in most districts of Rajasthan has undergone major changes in the past two days. Following a highly scorching sun on Monday, the weather turned cooler at night when there were thunderstorms accompanied by rains and hail. In view of the Western Disturbance, there was rainfall and hailstorm in districts like Hanumangarh, Sriganganagar, and Bikaner. In addition to that, Churu, Jhunjhunu, Sikar, Jaipur, and Alwar among others faced dense clouds and dust storms with slight rains. Water foggers were also sprayed in Jaipur to provide relief from the intense afternoon heat.

A look at the weather over the past 24 hours reveals the effects of intense heat and heatwave conditions in many districts of the state. Jaisalmer, Barmer, Jodhpur, Bikaner, Bharatpur, Dholpur, Karauli, Sawai Madhopur, Kota, Bundi, Chittorgarh, and surrounding areas of Jaipur experienced intense heatwave conditions during the day. The hot winds disrupted people's daily routines, and temperatures exceeded 40 degrees Celsius in several cities.
