Harbhajan Singh Tips Kohli and Rohit to Lead India’s Batting Charge in Australia ODI Series

Indian spin great Harbhajan Singh is of the opinion that the duo of Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli will rake in the runs in the three-match ODI series against Australia. The series will be contested from October 19th to October 25th. 'Ro-Co' (Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli) have been selected in the Indian squad for this ODI series. This will be their initial game in Blue jersey following victory in the Champions Trophy in March this year. The side is captained by Shubman Gill.

Speaking on JioHotstar, Harbhajan said, "Please don't question Virat's fitness. He is a 'guru' when it comes to fitness. Everyone follows him. There is no need to worry about Virat Kohli's fitness. He is fit, perhaps fitter than many of his teammates. He is arguably the fittest player in international cricket today. Now I am just looking forward to seeing Virat back on the field." Bhajji said, "Fans have missed him on the cricket field. Personally, I would love to see him play in the ODI format for a while longer, as he still has a lot of cricket left in him. When he retired from Test cricket, I truly felt he had four or five years left in him, not just to play, but also to dominate, because that's the kind of batsman he is. He's now going to Australia, his favorite place to bat. I'm sure he'll show his mettle there once again."

He added, "We've seen him score a lot of runs in these conditions before. I'm confident he'll do it again. The same applies to Rohit. I'm looking forward to seeing these two greats score heavily for India and win matches for the team." Harbhajan Singh hopes Kohli scores two centuries in the ODI series against Australia, as he enjoys batting there.

He added, "Some players perform best in difficult times. Virat Kohli is one such player." He shines on big occasions. That's what sets him apart. He looks forward to those big moments, those pressure-packed matches. I'm looking forward to seeing him (Kohli) bat in those three ODIs of the series. I hope he scores at least two centuries for India in those matches."
