Rajasthan Braces for Strong Weather System, Rain and Hail Expected in Several Districts

The weather in Rajasthan is changing again. While the western disturbance brought cloudy skies and some relief in many parts of the state, including Jaipur, a new, stronger system is expected to become active today. According to the Meteorological Center in Jaipur, this system, which became active on Thursday (today), will last until April 4th. As a result, warnings have been issued for thunderstorms, rain, and hail in some districts. Over the past 24 hours, the Bikaner division faced the most impact from this system on Wednesday. Light clouds in Jodhpur, Ajmer, and Jaipur divisions reduced sunshine, easing the heat. In the last 24 hours, light rain and drizzle were recorded in border areas of Sriganganagar, Hanumangarh, and Bikaner. Several districts, such as Sikar, Jhunjhunu, Nagaur, and Tonk, stayed overcast all day.

Chittorgarh was the hottest, with a maximum temperature of 38.6°C. Temperatures in Barmer, Jodhpur, Bikaner, Kota, and Udaipur ranged from 35 to 36°C. The Meteorological Department predicts rain and hailstorms with strong winds in western and northeastern districts—such as Sriganganagar, Hanumangarh, Bikaner, Churu, Alwar, Jhunjhunu, Tonk, Sawai Madhopur, and Dausa—on April 3 and 4. The weather is expected to clear up across the state as this system dissipates by April 5.
