Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas Assures 60-Day Crude Oil Reserve Amid Global Uncertainty

In view of the changes which may come in the world market for energy, the Indian Government has provided clear and reassuring information on the energy situation in the country. According to information provided by the Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas, there is sufficient crude oil for the next 60 days to meet demand.

In addition, to maintain the smooth functioning of commercial activities and industrial demand, the government has also made an important announcement of an additional 10% increase in the quota for commercial LPG cylinders for eight states.

Sujata Sharma, Joint Secretary in the Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas, shared official information on the current status of the country's strategic energy reserves. He categorically assured, "India has crude oil stocks to supply for the next 60 days."

Sujata Sharma, Joint Secretary, Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas, said, "Natural gas supply has been ensured to all domestic consumers. 3.33 lakh PNG connections have been provided in the last one month."
