In Delhi, a person killed his own friend and threw him in the Yamuna. The accused along with one of his accomplices carried out the murder. Police have arrested one accused in the case while the other accused is absconding. According to media reports, the incident is from Mayur Vihar.
The deceased has been identified as 28-year-old Om Kumar. While the accused have been identified as Karthik and Ravi. Karthik is arrested by the police, but Ravi is still on the run. According to the police, Om was missing from East Delhi's Dallupura area since November 23. The family lodged a missing complaint on Friday last. Relatives say that when he left the house and did not return. Om's body was recovered from the river in the Okhla area on 28 November.
On the missing complaint of Om, the police started an investigation and found that there was a fight between Om and his friends over some issue. Meanwhile, the accused thrashed Om and dumped his body in the Yamuna river near Mayur Vihar. The police further said that Karthik also threw his car into the river as he was very drunk. The local people informed the police about the drowning of the car in the river.
