COP27 Climate Summit in Egypt from today; Guterres said – Climate change is the biggest challenge

The COP27 Climate Summit begins today in Egypt. It will include world leaders including US President Joe Biden, and UK Prime Minister Rishi Sunak. Union Environment Minister Bhupendra Yadav from India is attending this meeting to be held from November 6 to November 18 in Sharm el-Sheikh city of Egypt.
In the meeting, leaders from all over the world will discuss the issue of climate change and its solution. In the last few years, climate change has emerged as the biggest challenge for the whole world. The focus of this meeting will be on climate finance i.e. providing financial help to deal with climate change.
The world is going towards destruction: Antonio Guterres Before the meeting, UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres said – the difference between developed countries and poor countries is the biggest issue of COP27. Developed countries should sign historic agreements with developing countries on climate change. If it doesn't happen then the world will be ruined. In fact, under this agreement, it was decided that developed countries would give $100 billion of funds every year to poor countries to deal with climate change.
India will seek help from developed countries to fight climate change. Before the COP27 meeting, Union Environment Minister Bhupendra Yadav said – India will also demand finance and technology transfer from developed countries to developing countries so that these countries can help them deal with the challenges of climate change.
In 2022, people in England and across Europe were suffering from the heat. Heavy rains caused floods in Pakistan. Crops were damaged by the first heatwave in India. In America too, the scorching heat caused forest fires, on the other hand, the rain caused floods. It is believed that climate change is behind all this.
Africa is one of the most vulnerable regions in the world to climate change. According to reports, 17 million people are facing food challenges due to drought in East Africa. In such a situation, by having a climate change summit in an African country, the world's attention can be focused on the effects of climate change. This is the 5th time that a climate conference is being held in any country in Africa.
