After Germany's World Cup Exit, Oliver Kahn Praises Manuel Neuer and Highlights Team's Biggest Challenge

In the wake of their failure, Oliver Kahn, the great German goalkeeper and ex-captain, expressed his opinion concerning Germany's major weakness. According to him, being blessed with great talents is not sufficient in such tournaments as the World Cup.

Kahn argued that under Nagelsmann's leadership Germany has proved its ability to play and has the qualities needed, but has some weaknesses compared to the best teams in the world. He said, "Germany has once again demonstrated that it belongs among the top teams in the world. The team possesses quality, tactical flexibility, and a clear identity under Julian Nagelsmann. However, compared to teams like France and Spain, I think their overall quality still falls a little short."

According to Kahn, the true test in knockout matches is mental strength. He said, "Football isn't just a game of talent. Building a strong team spirit throughout the tournament, especially in the knockout stages, is crucial. Talent alone is never enough. The biggest challenge now is handling pressure, because at this level, even small mistakes are severely punished."
