Rajasthan Weather Update: Thunderstorm and Rain Alert Issued for 27 Districts, Monsoon Likely to Arrive Soon
Rajasthan Monsoon 2026: Pre-monsoon activities are intensifying in Rajasthan. Rain was recorded in 16 districts today, while a yellow alert for thunderstorms and rain is in effect for 27 districts. The Meteorological Department has indicated the arrival of the monsoon in the first week of July.



The pre-monsoon period is still in full swing in Rajasthan. The Meteorological Department released a warning of thunderstorms and rain in 27 districts on Saturday. According to experts, pre-monsoon climate will prevail in eastern, southern, and northeastern parts of Rajasthan in the coming three days. Maximum rainfall occurred in Nagaur district, which recorded 60 mm in 24 hours. Chittorgarh, Pratapgarh, and Bhilwara received more than one inch of rain.
According to meteorological information, during the past 24 hours, 40 mm of rainfall occurred in Khinvsar (Nagaur), 32 mm in Arond (Pratapgarh), 35 mm in Karora (Bhilwara), 28 mm in Chittorgarh, and 23 mm in Dag (Jhalawar). There was heavy rainfall accompanied by heavy gusts of wind in several places of Sriganganagar and Hanumangarh districts.
However, due to weak rainfall activity in western Rajasthan, the heat wave continues. The maximum temperature in Sriganganagar was recorded at 42.1 degrees Celsius. Apart from this, temperatures of 41.5 degrees Celsius were recorded in Jaisalmer, 41.4 degrees Celsius in Bikaner, 41.2 degrees Celsius in Barmer and 41.9 degrees Celsius in Churu.
The Jaipur Meteorological Center has issued a yellow alert for thunderstorms and rain today in Jaipur, Alwar, Dausa, Sikar, Jhunjhunu, Bharatpur, Karauli, Sawai Madhopur, Tonk, Ajmer, Nagaur, Kota, Bundi, Baran, Jhalawar, Chittorgarh, Bhilwara, Pratapgarh, Udaipur, Rajsamand, Banswara, Dungarpur, Pali, Sirohi, Sriganganagar, Hanumangarh, and Bikaner.
