Over the last five years, or since 2019, NIA has attached about 400 properties, along with a variety of accounts and cash worth crores of rupees. On Thursday, authorities declared that terrorists, Naxalites, separatists, and those who supported them owned the majority of the properties that had been taken.

Officials said that out of 403 seized and attached properties, a maximum of 206 properties have been attached by the Ranchi branch of the Federal Investigation Agency. He said the assets included several bank accounts registered mainly in Bihar and Jharkhand and huge amounts of cash belonging to Naxalites and their associates.

A total of 100 other properties of terrorists and their supporters have been attached or seized by the Jammu branch of NIA. He said that the Chandigarh branch of the Anti-Terrorism Investigation Agency has attached 33 properties of the separatists and their supporters. These are apart from the two seized properties of banned Khalistani leader Gurpatwant Singh Pannu.
