Bad air again in Delhi: AQI of most areas crossed 300; cold also increased
As soon as winter comes, the fog has started in Delhi in the morning. Even today, haze covered many areas in many places. Along with this, the air in Delhi has also become very bad. The Air Quality Index (AQI) of 315 was recorded in the national capital this morning. AQI is a measure of air quality, which is considered normal up to 200. Above 300 it is considered very bad. The cold has also increased in Delhi.
According to the Central Pollution Control Board, AQI 374 in Jahangirpuri, AQI 368 in Anand Vihar, AQI 373 in Mundka, AQI 338 in Wazirpur, AQI 337 in Bawana, AQI 342 in Alipore, AQI 374 in Jahangirpuri, AQI 322 in Mandir Marg and Rohini AQI 352 has been recorded. Whereas, AQI 329 near IGI Airport remained in the 'very poor' category. Air quality is expected to improve in the next 24 hours due to changes in weather.
AQI 228 was recorded in Noida, AQI 340 in Greater Noida, AQI 276 in Ghaziabad, AQI 305 in Muzaffarnagar, AQI 215 in Meerut, AQI 220 in Hapur, AQI 253 in Baghpat, AQI 231 in Bulandshahr.
According to the Meteorological Department, the minimum temperature in Delhi can go up to 8 degrees Celsius on Sunday. At the same time, the maximum temperature is forecast to be 27 degrees Celsius. Earlier on Saturday, the maximum temperature was recorded at 27 degrees Celsius and the minimum temperature was 8.3 degrees Celsius. According to the department, due to a slight increase in cold from Monday, the minimum temperature may come down to 7 degrees Celsius. The cold will increase further in the next few days.
