TDP leader arrested for protesting against sand dunes accuses CM Jagan of sand scam worth Rs 40,000 crore
The Jagan Mohan Reddy government of Andhra Pradesh has detained the leaders of the Telugu Desam Party (TDP). The TDP leaders were visiting the sand dunes to protest against the alleged Rs 40,000 crore sand scam in the last four years of the YSR Congress. TDP leaders demanded the sealing of the sand mining area in Amaravati.



The Jagan Mohan Reddy government of Andhra Pradesh has detained the leaders of the Telugu Desam Party (TDP). The TDP leaders were visiting the sand dunes to protest against the alleged Rs 40,000 crore sand scam during the last four years of the YSR Congress.
TDP leaders demanded the sealing of the sand mining area in Amaravati. During this, when the police stopped them, TDP leaders and workers sat on the road in protest. Former MLA Komalapati Sridhar and former minister Pullarao were on their way to protest at Konuru and Kottapalli sand dunes in Achampeta mandal of Pedakurapadu assembly in Amaravati.
When the Amravati police stopped the TDP leaders, they started arguing with the police. Police officials said TDP leaders would not be allowed to reach the sand mining belt without permission. After this, the police took the TDP leaders into custody and took them to the police station.
