POCO to Launch POCO X8 Pro 5G and POCO X8 Pro Max 5G in India on March 17
The Poco X8 series will launch in India next week. This series will include the Poco X8 Pro 5G and Poco X8 Pro Max 5G models. Key specifications of these phones have been revealed ahead of the launch.
The new sub-brand of Xiaomi, Poco, is going to launch its new series of phones, namely the Poco X8 series, in India next week. This new series of phones is going to be part of the company’s main phone lineup. An online store is going to be the platform for selling these phones in India. A new microsite for the new phones has been created, and it has revealed the launch date of these phones. Now, the specs of the phones, including battery life, are available on this new microsite. The new phones, namely the Poco X8 Pro 5G and the Poco X8 Pro Max 5G, are going to come with two cameras at the back, housed in a pill-shaped camera module. Vapor chamber cooling is going to be present in these phones.
According to the updated dedicated microsite for the Poco X8 Pro series, the flagship Poco X8 Pro Max 5G will feature a 9,000mAh battery. The tech firm claims that the handset will deliver over three days of battery life with moderate usage. The company claims that the cell has received TUV certification for six years of battery durability. It also claims that it delivers over 18 days of standby time or approximately 30 hours of online video playback on a single charge.
On the other hand, the Poco X8 Pro 5G is now confirmed to have a 6,500mAh battery, which is claimed to deliver over two days of battery life with moderate usage. The phone is also claimed to be TUV certified for five years of battery durability. The tech firm also claims that the handset will deliver approximately 18 hours of online video streaming or over 12 days of standby time on a single charge.

Both phones in the Poco X8 Pro series are confirmed to support 100W wired fast charging and 27W wired reverse charging with PPS charging. While the Pro Max model is claimed to deliver a day's battery life in 10 minutes of charging, the Pro variant will deliver the same amount of battery life in approximately 16 minutes.
Furthermore, the Poco X8 Pro 5G will feature a 5,300 sq mm vapor chamber solution with an 11,000 sq mm graphite layer for temperature control. The Poco X8 Pro Max 5G is confirmed to have a larger heat dissipation area of 5,800 sq mm with a graphite layer area.
The Poco X8 Pro series will launch in India on March 17 with a dual rear camera unit. The lineup will be available for sale in the country via Flipkart. While the flagship Poco X8 Pro Max 5G will be powered by the recently released 3nm octa-core MediaTek Dimensity 9500s chip, the Pro model will come with a 4nm octa-core MediaTek Dimensity 8500 Ultra processor. The company claims that the handsets have scored over 31,00,000 and 23,00,000 points on the AnTuTu benchmarking platform.
